It all began in January 2022, when the community approached the Venue Manager for the Saltwater Arts Centre, which was under construction. They wanted to produce a play to open the new venue - a play that would tell of the heroes and tragedies of this region, from the Wardandi perspective. Kelton Pell was appointed as Director due to his long history with the region, his family being from Busselton and he is a descendant of Uncle Sam Isaacs, a great hero of the region. And so it all began and continued for the next 3.5 years with Kelton and his team of creatives working hard to find the regions unique stories and bring them together to create a play that is equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking.
