Jeremy Williams Launches The Edited Landscape on World Environment Day

Opening on World Environment Day, The Edited Landscape by Jeremy Williams showcases a diverse range of works inspired by Australia’s natural beauty.

On show from 5 to 30 June in the Bond Store Gallery at the Old Courthouse Complex, Jeremy’s debut solo exhibition represents his decades-long creative journey across advertising, design, education, and the arts.

Jeremy’s career began in the competitive WA design world of the 1970s, moving through lecturing and curriculum development, before settling into a relaxed but creatively rich retirement in Busselton.

In this exhibition, he explores the intersection of traditional techniques and modern technology - combining watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, and photography enhanced with digital tools.

Timed to open on World Environment Day, the exhibition also highlights the artist’s deep appreciation for Australia’s natural landscapes.

Many of the works displayed are inspired by Jeremy’s personal travels and local scenery, capturing the textures, colours, and emotional resonance of place.

Visitors are invited to engage with nature through an artistic lens - reflecting on the desire to celebrate natural landscapes and the need protect the world around us.

“I wanted to showcase a range of skills and approaches rather than one fixed style,” Jeremy said.

“I hope people feel energised by The Edited Landscape collection, as I’ve certainly been energised by the opportunity to exhibit in this beautiful historic venue.”
