A period of reflection and contemplation in 2011 led to the inception of a new direction for Elmari Steyn’s artistic practice. This year-long sabbatical initiated the seed of a more dynamic visual approach and artistic search.

Along this journey the inventive language developed to translate the extent and significance of memories, events and emotions of a life lived. The exhibition ‘Just Me’ is a subsequent survey of this 15-year period.

The exhibition draws together early and current work; it arranges and entwines the transient nature of recollection and new concepts; applying and manipulating print-making techniques with intent.

Opening Event: 5pm – Friday, 9 October. Live music. All welcome!
