In Search of My Inner Tree

Graeme Pages-Oliver

23 February to 4 April

After retirement as an Arts Educator, Graeme made a pact with himself to complete one drawing per week for a year.  These small rhythmic marks soon made a pattern and suggested shapes that became recognizable: a tree in a landscape.  These barren landscapes reflected his feelings.

During COVID Graeme was able to revisit these works and complete the digitization and colourisation of all the 52 drawings.

This is the first time all 52 pieces have been shown together.

“In my mind the exhibition is a visual record of a journey I took to health and wellbeing. It’s a journey that I initially thought was over, but I find I still need to take, from time to time.

Graeme is partnering with The Busselton Dunsborough Alliance Against Depression - Supporting public mental health literacy activities.
