Colour’s of Natures Palette

As an Artist and Art Therapist, I love to use a range of media and collage around the theme of the colours of nature. This can be through brilliant acrylics; the more subtle and soothing watercolours; and at times, dramatic black and white effects.

The opportunity to bring a vast range of colours into our homes can contribute to a sense of well-being usually found outdoors – for example, in our gardens, at the beach, watching morning and night skies.

I also enjoy painting mandalas - circles found throughout the environment that have beautiful designs filling them. Mandalas are used in various religions and contain symbols to meditate on. Types that are well known are the beautiful stained-glass Rose Windows found in many of our churches that are sometimes described as ‘prayer windows’.

Most of my work is embellished using various forms of collage. Especially with my watercolours, I like to experiment with techniques to create patterns and 3D effects.
