Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers of WA - Biannual Exhibition
Opening function - 2pm, Tuesday 18 November in the Merenj Boodja Garden.
Discover the exquisite craft of hand-painted porcelain in this biannual exhibition by the Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers of WA. Each artist uses traditional techniques passed down through generations, hand-mixing pigments and kiln-firing every piece at 800°C between multiple layers to create incredible depth, colour and permanence.
Many works also feature lustres infused with precious metals, adding a refined metallic shimmer - a touch of elegant “bling” that catches the light beautifully. From delicate tableware to sculptural forms, every piece is as functional as it is collectable, designed to be used, displayed and treasured.
Come and witness porcelain artistry at its most radiant - a rare opportunity to experience the precision, patience and passion behind an ancient craft reimagined for contemporary living.
