Local artist, Japneet Kaur Keith, has been engaged as the guest curator for Saltwater Gallery’s inaugural exhibition as part of the upcoming Regional Arts Triennial.

Artistic community members are invited to join Japneet and Saltwater Gallery curator, Sharon Williams, for an evening of creativity, connection and conversation about Saltwater Gallery’s inaugural exhibition.

Saltwater Conversations offers the opportunity to share stories and co-create a collaborative weaving artwork in a space designed to seed ideas and grow connections.

At the heart of the gathering will be a collaborative textile installation: a large hoop encircling a smaller one. Guests will be invited to weave threads of deep red, olive green, salt white, and dusk blue - evoking the shifting hues of samphire country.

This tactile action becomes a shared artwork-in-progress: symbolic, slow, and open-ended. It reflects the spirit of Saltwater itself - an evolving, layered space built through many hands and perspectives.
