Underwater Collage Workshop
These hands‑on workshops aim to build creative confidence and raise awareness about local nature conservation. No prior art skills required.
Inspired by underwater photography of the Busselton Jetty, participants will create a 35 x 35 cm framed collage artwork featuring coral, fish and other marine creatures.
Work with artist Fi Wilkie and local underwater photographer & marine biologist Sue Morrison to bring your favourite ocean critters to life.

Guidance on collage techniques
Insights into local marine species and conservation
Option to purchase a frame on the day
A portion of each ticket supports local marine research
All ages and abilities welcome.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

About the Wander Out Yonder Project
Wander Out Yonder celebrates WA’s unique flora, fauna and landscapes. Fi’s collage-based process encourages close observation, playful creativity and storytelling—accessible to all ages and levels of experience.
Optional Preparation
Spend some time at the Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory or bring along your own underwater photos or drawings for inspiration.
Using elements of the natural landscape for inspiration, explore exciting mark making techniques and discover ways to manipulate ink on a Perspex surface to create different textures, layers and tone. Resident artist Bridget Seaton will demonstrate how she creates landscapes with this method and will provide some images for inspiration. Work in a figurative or abstract way. Suitable for any level. All materials supplied. Please bring an apron.
