Piano Campaign Hits High Note
The Friends of Busselton Cultural Precinct are celebrating a major milestone in their campaign to bring a grand piano to Busselton.
After 18 months of dedicated fundraising, the group is now just $6,000 short of purchasing a magnificent Yamaha C7X grand piano, which will be gifted to the community and housed at Saltwater Busselton.
Thanks to generous contributions from Southern Ports, Doral and The Goose, the group has almost achieved its goal.
Friends of the Busselton Cultural Precinct President, Ms Lisa Massey said Southern Ports and Doral were important employers in our community, and their support reflected a strong commitment to enhancing the communities in which their teams live and work.
“We’d also like to acknowledge the generous donation from Busselton’s iconic beachfront bar and café, The Goose,’ Ms Massey said.
“We are incredibly grateful for the contributions we’ve received in purchasing this piano, which will create a lasting legacy by enriching the cultural fabric of our community.”
“This grand piano will provide invaluable learning opportunities, supporting aspiring musicians and fostering long-term career pathways in music and the performing arts.”
To complete the purchase of this magnificent piano, the group is calling on tax deductible donations from local businesses and individuals to help raise the remaining funds.
