Explore texture in surface design with natural fibres, using the wet felting process.

Felt making offers a contemplative art process with an element of serendipity.

Join Barbara Weeks for a creative and relaxing workshop.

White superfine merino wool offers a magical surface on which additions are immersed but retain a distinctive texture or line.

 

Suited to all levels, working individually to suit your experience and ideas.

 

Focus on:

·         Know your Fibres, animal and vegetable.

·         Drawing out the finest, even layers of merino wool.

·         Select from my eclectic collection of fibres and cloth.

·         Felting and Fulling to achieve a well -integrated design.

·         Discussion of progression: dyeing, stitch

 

All felting materials supplied including wool, fibres, silks, soap and bubble wrap.

You need to bring:

Two towels, approx 50 x 90

Scissors, tape measure.

Design reference optional.
