Free Outdoor Cinema

  • Old Courthouse Busselton 2 Queen Street Busselton, WA, 6280 Australia (map)

Join us on Saturday 2 December in the Old Courthouse Courtyard for a free outdoor cinema showing of the 2018 musical drama Bohemian Rhapsody – an entertaining musical journey of the life of the legendary Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the British rock band Queen and yes singing along is highly encouraged!

Doors will open at 7pm and the movie will start as soon as it gets dark enough. There will be a bar available (NO BYO). Please bring low chairs only or rugs/beanbags.

Bohemian Rhapsody is rated M so not recommended for children under 15. Please ensure anyone in attendance under 18 years is supervised by a parent or guardian.

This is a free World Aids Day event thanks to our friends at WAAC. There are approximately 29,500 people living with HIV in Australia, and in WA, since 2019 more straight men are now diagnosed with HIV than gay men each year! The good news is, with early detection and access to medical care, people living with HIV have the same life expectancy as those without HIV, and there are highly effective medications that lower the viral load of HIV to an undetectable and untransmissible level. Prior to screening of the movie, we will be showing a short ten-minute clip developed to increase awareness of stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV.
